Terms and conditions for events at The Bull Hotel
1.Bookings will be treated as provisional until the deposit and signed copy of terms and conditions are returned
by the client, which should be within 28 days of the provisional booking. Having failing to do so, The Bull Hotel reserves
the right to cancel the event without notification to the client.
2.Deposit required: 25% of the total value of the event. By paying a deposit for an event,
the client agrees that once paid, the deposit is non refundable.
3.Full payment must be received no later than 7 days prior to the event date (14 days for weddings). The event is
only confirmed when full payment has been made.
4.Open
bar bill: in the case of operating an open bar service an estimate cost will be charged 7 days prior the event date (14 days
for weddings). The client’s credit card details will be held by The Bull Hotel which will charge the client’s
credit card the difference between real and estimate bar bills immediately after the end of the event.
5.Late bookings (taken 7 days and less prior to event date, 14
days and less for weddings): full amount payable immediately.
6.Please note that once full payment has been received, we are unable to offer refunds but will negotiate transfer
of date.
7.Any special dietary requirements
/ allergies should be informed on booking.
8.A
confirmation meeting between the client and The Bull Hotel to discuss and finalise details of the event must be carried out
no less than 4 weeks before the date of the event.
9.Detailed notes about decisions made during the meeting will be taken, a copy will be sent to the Client to be signed
and confirmed.
10.The client must confirm
to The Bull Hotel the final numbers of guests attending not less than 14 days prior to the event. The amount payable by the
client will be calculated on the final number of guests given by this 14 day period prior to the event.
11.Any additional guest must be confirmed at least 72 hours before
the event.
12.No monetary refund will be
possible due to reduction in numbers, whatever the circumstance, if notification is given to The Bull Hotel any less than
14 days prior to the event.
13.The client
should confirm all cancellations in writing. Any costs incurred for a particular event, that otherwise would not have been
incurred; will be charged in the event of cancellation.
14.The Bull Hotel reserves the right to set minimum numbers of guests attending an event.
15.The client is responsible for any damage caused in public areas
by the client or their guests, agents, employees etc and indemnity against third parties as a result of negligence.
16.In the case of clients supplying their own entertainment involving
electrical equipment of any sort, it is the clients’ responsibility to obtain the correct documentation proving the
safety and suitability of bringing such equipment in to The Bull Hotel in accordance with current health & safety standards.
17.Corkage - strictly no wines, champagne or spirits may be brought
into the allocated rooms by Clients or guests for consumption on the premises.
18.The Bull Hotel does not allow customers to bring in their own event food (except birthday
cakes) to the bar/restaurant areas.
19.Catering
in The Buttery may be negotiated.
20.For
events held in The Buttery a bar staff and/or an event host can be hired to greet you and your guests on arrival, ensure that
your event runs smoothly, help set up for food and refreshments and help tidy up afterwards. In this case an extra cost
of £70.00 per staff will be charged.
21.The
Client is responsible for removing decoration, equipment, food, belongings etc from The Buttery at the end of the event.
22.The hire cost of The Buttery includes cleaning before and after
the event, heating, tables, chairs and electricity. Cutlery, plates and paper napkins are provided with buffet.
Bar staff, hostess, setting the bar, table clothes, cloth napkins, entertainment, decoration, etc may be provided with extra
cost.
23.Any entertainment must cease by
12 midnight.
24.No bar drinks will be served
after 1.00am. The kitchen at The Bull Hotel closes at 9.00pm therefore no restaurant meals or snacks will be served
after 9.00pm.
25.The use of chocolate fountains,
inflatable castles, discos etc are only permitted if supervised by an employee/responsible individual, who may have supplied
the equipment. The client must ensure that the equipment is removed from the function room at the end of the event.
26.Firework displays are not allowed at The Bull Hotel’s
premises.
27.Wedding table plans, table
clothes, napkin inserts etc must be supplied no less than 3 days before the event.
28.Table decoration, entertainment, etc must be delivered and set at an agreed time on the
event day.
