The Buttery Wedding

Our wedding was held at The Bull in Summer 2019 and we had an amazing day. Leigh Anne couldn’t do enough for us in the run up to our day and on the day itself! We had to tweak the menu and drinks on offer due to dietary requirements but this was never an issue, she also helped us to arrange our seating plan and gave us numerous ideas for decoration. On the day Leigh Anne helped the groomsmen with their button holes, check on us ladies throughout the morning, helped turn the room around between the ceremony, wedding breakfast and the evening reception and just helped the day run so smooth. There are plenty of beautiful, quaint places for photos to be taken in and around The Bull and the food on offer is absolutely delicious, such big portions too! We are so happy we found this incredible venue and recommend it to anyone thinking of tying the knot. We’ll be back soon for another meal and a cosy up in front of the fireplace! Thank you to everyone at The Bull who helped make our day so, so incredible.

Claire and Reece, 28th July 2019 – Hitched.

We settled on the Bull for our wedding venue after visiting on a ‘wedding open day’. This is where we first met Leigh Anne & Elaine (both are TOTAL stars!). We settled on the venue quite quickly, the overall ‘cosy’ feel of The Buttery, the previous reviews, the food (oh my goodness ……. the food!) all gave us the feeling that this was the place for us – and how right we were. Leigh Anne and Elaine handled everything in the run up to the day with total professionalism and a very reassuring calmness. Following our ‘taster meal’ we opted for the smokehouse menu – we still have people telling us just how good it was a month later! Come the day itself Elaine and Co had dressed The Buttery which looked beautiful and any concerns we had about the changes from wedding service setting to dining hall to evening function room became a distant memory, we still truly don’t know how Elaine and her team did it so well in such a short time. We had 40 family and friends during the day and another 50 in the evening, The Buttery was the perfect size and setting for every aspect of the day. I can’t sing any louder about the whole package! We used Nicola Dawson as our photographer and Phillip Harvey (20:20 Sounds) for the evening disco. Both were recommended by The Bull at the open days. Nicola is fantastic and Phil had the whole place jumping for the duration of the party in the evening! If you want somewhere charming, cosy and a little different, for your wedding day, book The Bull, sit back and relax – you’ll be in VERY good hands!! We both really do wish we could do it all over again!

From start to finish, Elaine and the wonderful team at the bull made our wedding the most special day ever. They were able to bring everything we envisioned to reality and were so helpful during the process of planning til our wedding day. They were able to accommodate all our needs and made the day as stress free as possible. I would highly recommend their wedding service to anyone who is looking to get married at the bull. The location is situated in a beautiful village with many great opportunities for wedding photos. The buttery itself was beautifully decorated and was a perfect size to hold our religious ceremony and reception. Every time we look back at photos, we wish we could get married all over again! Jon & I had our U.K. wedding celebration at The Bull. The ambience of the space was enchanting. Leigh Anne was an amazing wedding organiser. I felt so calm and relaxed as I knew she had everything in control. The wedding celebration was amazing and I have such good memories that are better then I can imagine. Every single member of staff at the hotel was incredibly professional and every request was dealt with as if it were no trouble. They helped to make our weekend run smoothly and looked after us well. The Venue is perfect – it has lots of character and charm and the Buttery (the ceremony room) is absolutely stunning. Leigh Anne, one of the Bull Hotel’s wedding planners was absolutely amazing on the build up to the wedding. You helped to keep us to plan and coordinated a wonderful day and keep us calm throughout the process. I cannot express how grateful we are. The food was wonderful and so many of our guests expressed how delicious they thought it was. Most said that it was the best food that they have ever had at a wedding! – WE AGREE! Each course of the wedding breakfast was fantastic. The service throughout the day from all staff at the Bull was seamless. From waiting tables to the quick turnarounds required in the Buttery. It is clear the Hotel operates like a well-oiled machine. The rooms at the hotel were immaculate and everyone who stayed had a good night’s sleep. Once again, thank you for helping to make our wedding day absolutely perfect!

Joseph and Steven Pomeroy Weihe, 16th Feb 2019 – Hitched.

We were looking for a venue that allowed us to be ourselves in our wedding day. A humanist ceremony with no hymns no prayers no preacher and this venue allowed us and our imaginations run wild. With help from Holly and her mother at hello@locatetocreate.com we dressed the hall as a 1920 peaky blinder Gatsby theme including our humanist celebrant. Elaine controlled our music for the day with Andy . The food for the day was locally sourced from Kent and organic. The children had their own table with their own menu and drinks. The whole theme made for very special personal photos. In my hotel room we had the hairdresser and the make up artists for myself and the bridesmaids. We hired most of the rooms in the hotel allowing room for everyone to get dressed and prepare for the wedding. The day was very personal unique and memorable. We had 42 guest as we wanted a small intimate wedding but I felt special throughout and Andy was allowed to be himself with very few restrictions.

Our wedding experience was truly magical…We wanted our day to have some fairly unique elements with lots of personal touches – Leigh Anne, Elaine and their team enabled this vision to become a reality. One of the main reasons we chose The Bull was the food. Every person we have spoken to has commented on the superb quality and generous portion sizes. The truly amazing thing about the day was the amount of work that went on behind the scenes. We would like to say a million thank yous to all at The Bull.
