CORONAVIRUS INFECTION PRECAUTIONS
What we are doing…

The Bull has implemented safety practices to prevent spread of the Coronavirus infection so members of staff, guests and clients can enjoy a pleasant and safe time while in the restaurant and hotel.

Our staff

• Haven’t been to highly affected areas for the past 15 days
• Have been advised to avoid public gatherings
• Do not take public transport
• Are not ill and do not present the symptoms of the disease
• Are advised to replicate safety practices at home

Clients are asked to wash their hands when entering The Bull

The virus

• Does not survive well outside the body so it is highly unlikely that it can be spread through food, cutlery and restaurant utensils
• Spreads via respiratory droplets produced when an infected person sneezes or coughs
• Spreads between people who are in close contact

Prevention and personal hygiene

• Staff wash hands with soap and water before and after handling cash, touching glasses, cutlery, phones, POS, doors, etc
• Staff also use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains 60-95% alcohol
• Staff avoid touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands

Extra safety practices

• Extra cleaning rota to include door handles/knobs, telephone set, credit card machines, POS screens, counters, pumps, drawers, toilets, taps, etc
• Tables are cleaned after each guest using blue rolls and kitchen disinfecting liquid
• Staff wash hands after collecting glasses and cutlery from the tables
• Spreading groups/tables within 3 feet apart
• Staff are not wearing rings, wrist watches and wrist jewellery
• Alcohol-based sanitisers are also available for clients
• Paper towels are available in the toilets
• Provide customer with additional napkins or tissues to use when they cough or sneeze

Providing assistance to guests and clients

• If a guest is feeling unwell staff is trained to call NHS 111 (or 999 if an emergency)
• Whilst waiting for advice from NHS 111 or an ambulance to arrive, we are prepared to arrange a safe place for the guest to sit, away from other people
