Thursday 27th June from 8pm
We are delighted to welcome back the Boughton Monchelsea Morris dancing group, who last performed at The Bull all the way back in 2013! This time, they’re bringing with them the Marlings Morris Clog Dancers.
What is Morris Dancing?
Morris Dancing is a colourful traditional English folk dance dating back to the 15th Century. Its origin and past is shrouded in mystery, but there are records of Morris dancers entertaining King Henry VIII himself! They are deeply rooted in British folk tradition because Morris Dancers have been performing for centuries.
About the Boughton Monchelsea Morris Dancers
The Boughton Monchelsea Morris dancers were set up in 1978 here in Kent. They practice all through the Winter months and perform all through the Summer months! They will be dancing in The Bull courtyard from 8pm in the evening. If you want to see a showcase of traditional English folk dancing, be sure to stop by!
