I had booked another hotel for my partners 40th birthday. When we arrived it was awful and I decided not to stay there. We found the Bull and thankfully they had one room available! The staff were so welcoming and the location is lovely. Our room was homely, clean and comfortable. We had a nice view from our window and we both slept well both nights we were there. The only sound was local church bells which was really nice 🙂
On the first night we ate in the restaurant. The service was excellent, the waitress was really friendly and helpful and the food was delicious!
We had breakfast both mornings which included juices, yogurts, cereal, tea/ coffee, toast, a range of marmalade, jam and honey and the option of a full English breakfast. The breakfast was also delicious and the service at breakfast was also excellent.
The restaurant/ pub/ bar area is a really nice place to sit and enjoy a meal or a drink.
We would definitely recommend the Bull as a hotel and as a restaurant.

Booked wedding here on 30/11/24. The venue was perfect for 80 guests invited to the day. Kathy and all the staff worked unbelievably hard to make this a perfect day. All guests commented on how good the venue was, the food was of very high standard. The accommodation brilliant, beds were so comfortable. We would both highly recommend for weddings or get togethers with family/friends. Kathy, we haven’t forgot you and will be coming back with a small gift for you and your brilliant staff.

Great experience here, can’t fault it. Martin was quick to respond to some questions I had when booking. Very comfortable room, great meal, excellent wine list, and the service from Dylan was perfect. Highly recommended!

Only went for evening meal and what an evening meal it was. Top class cuisine, friendly and efficient staff. What a great find! Highly recommend a visit to this lovely place!

We had a family Christmas dinner with one couple staying the night. It was all so amazing that we’ve agreed this will hopefully be our new Christmas go to for our dinner! The room was also lovely and warm, big and well appointed. Thanks to all at The Bull

A fantastic little place. The food was just amazing. I would recommend the brisket. Staff were attentive, polite, and always ready to serve. Rooms are a bit basic but bed was comfy. Fantastic mattress! Five stars from me would definitely recommend and use again.

I had a great time photographing a wedding at The Bull Hotel, the team were polite, efficient and organised, as well as being super friendly. What an amazing find… the beds were sooooo comfy. The food was lovely and very friendly team both in the evening and morning.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in The Bull Hotel in August 1953.
There were no en suite bedrooms but the food was delicious.

John died in 2017 after 64 years of marriage.
The Bull looks magnificent now. Good luck for the future. Thank you for the good start to our happy life together.

At the end of June we got married at the Buttery and Glasshouse and we had a truly amazing day. All the staff involved on the day did a truly remarkable job. All our guests commented on how lovely the venue was and how tasty the food was. Everyone had a great time.
A big shout out to Catherine, our wedding coordinator, and Chloe for making sure the day ran smoothly.

As we got married on a Saturday we set up the Buttery and Glasshouse on the Friday afternoon. After that we relaxed in the bar and as some of us were staying on the Friday night there was a group of seventeen of us who all had dinner together. I stayed the night at the Bull and we all had a very relaxed breakfast in the morning of the wedding. It was great getting ready for my big day at the venue. The Buttery is a stunning venue to have a wedding ceremony and then to be able to have photos on the terrace and outside the hotel was great. The Glasshouse was perfect for our wedding breakfast and for the disco in the evening. Have three spaces close together works so well for a wedding as all the guests are close together but not on top of each other.

We got married here just a few days ago, on Sat 8th June 2024. We fell in love with the venue when we visited on their summer open day last year and knew we had to book our wedding here. We loved the relaxed rustic vibe. We are so glad we did! The venue is so versatile, offering various spaces and packages.

We were able to make the space our own with just the right input from Emma, our brilliant wedding co-ordinator. Emma was great, through all the planning and preparation, and on the day itself from start to finish. We felt in very safe hands and the day ran like clockwork due to the brilliant staff.

The food was also amazing, and something which made our day extra special was being able to include our Labrador, as the venue is dog friendly! Many of our guests are still commenting on how much they loved the venue, food and staff. You won’t regret booking your wedding here. Thank you Emma & all the team, memories to cherish for a lifetime 🙂

Amazing wedding venue and planning. Emma and the team made our dream day go seamlessly and we thoroughly enjoyed every second. The food, the space, the customer service and the thoughtfulness / attention to detail in the lead up and on the day. We loved the fact we could stay the night before with our close friends and family to set up and it made the morning after really relaxing. We even took our young daughter to the park round the corner after breakfast before the morning preparations began! We had plenty of time the morning after the wedding to enjoy breakfast, check out and clear up the rest of our things. We were not rushed and so many guests commented how relaxed the day was. Thank you Emma and team!

Perfect escape in a beautiful pub with excellent staff and customer care, our stay was totally relaxed and stress free with great tasty food, and super comfy beds and linen…for such an old building it was immaculately clean, all rooms have been perfectly updated since our last stay, and we loved the way it was in keeping with the ears of the buildings history.
We did love the viking throws on the chairs, it added to the warm cosy ambience in general. The food was most delicious and plentiful, the chef cooked me something off menu as I could not eat any of the starters, and it was super yummy, added to a perfect Gourmet Break, which is EXCELLENT VALUE and perfect treat or gift anytime.

We both had the best nights sleep followed with a PERFECT breakfast that was easy going and relaxed, Mary makes the most AMAZING scrambled eggs, best I have ever tasted anywhere we have stayed, the sausage was very tasty too,

We’re regulars at The Bull as it’s our favourite place to go. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble – you just have to ask if you need anything. The food is consistently excellent and the menu provides the usual pub favourites and regularly changing dishes which are more complex and interesting. The ingredients are of high quality and often locally sourced. These dishes evolve over time as the kitchen staff constantly seek to improve and happily respond to feedback. The wine cellar is a revelation – ask Martin to recommend something not on the list and you’ll get to experience some fabulous wines. We had a tasting menu party here in the private dining room and could not have asked for a more perfect evening. It may not be the cheapest place to go in Kent but you will definitely get great value for your money.

If you’re looking for a wedding venue that has absolutely everything, then The Bull is the perfect place for it. We booked our wedding way back in 2022 after one visit and we knew back then we had made the right choice. Emma, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. There were so many fine details that we didn’t think of that they did for us that made us so happy. Ollie on the bar kept all the drinks flowing and was a joy to have work on our day. In fact the entire staff at the venue were incredible – everything was organised like a military operation. And we haven’t even spoke about the food – THE FOOD! We went for the smokehouse feast and it was probably one of the greatest pieces of BBQ brisket we’ve ever had. Everyone with certain dietary requirements were catered for and nothing was too much to ask for.

We also had all 11 bedrooms included in our package and they were fantastic. The bridal suite was the perfect size for the bridal party to get ready in and all the beds in each room were comfy. Everything was spotless, clean and each room had its own distinct charm.

We were looked after incredibly well and our guests were stunned by how beautiful the venue was, how great the staff were and how good the food was. It exceeded all of our expectations and would highly recommend trusting The Bull with your wedding day. If we could do it all again, we would book The Bull all over again.
