Our guests come not just to eat, but to belong, to be welcomed, remembered, and genuinely looked after.
Rooted in Quality, Seasonality and Connection
This is The Bull’s philosophy: food made with care, served with warmth, and meant to be savoured.
It’s hospitality the way it should be: generous, grounding, and quietly joyful.
This is The Bull. And this is what we do best.

There's something for everyone
Here, ingredients are thoughtfully chosen, dishes are cooked low and slow, and service is friendly and attentive.
The result? Better flavours. Deeper conversations. Time to actually be with the people you came to see.

innovative ways to elevate classic dishes
Inspired by the principles of the slow food movement, everything we do – whether it’s a roast in The Glasshouse, a glass of wine on the terrace, or a shared Sunday celebration – is rooted in quality, seasonality, and connection.

SUNDAY ROAST
Every Sunday, our legendary roast brings people together over proper, home-cooked comfort food. Choose from 4 expertly roasted meats or our sensational vegetarian nut roast, all served with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal roasted vegetables, buttery stump, and a luxuriously golden Yorkshire pudding.
The star of the show? Our rich, 72-hour home-cooked gravy, reduced to a perfect stickiness for the ultimate finishing touch.
A feast fit for Sunday, with children’s portions available for £11.99.

IN THE SMOKER, IMPORTED FROM TEXAS
Our Ole Hickory Pits wood-burning smoker – the first of its kind in Kent – is a half-ton giant imported from Texas, designed for true low-and-slow cooking. Using a carefully selected blend of woods, it infuses the meat with deep, smoky flavour while keeping it irresistibly tender.
Come hungry—you won’t be disappointed.

PREMIUM INGREDIENTS
Our menu is a celebration of premium ingredients and carefully selected global flavours – rich Spanish chorizo, plump Italian caper berries and smooth olive oil, fiery Mexican chilies, and aromatic spices from Asia.
With a dynamic selection that evolves with the seasons, every dish is crafted for bold, unforgettable flavour.

EXTRA-ORDINARY suppliers
We take pride in serving only the finest meat, sourced from the trusted local butchers Coldbreath as well as top suppliers from Yorkshire and Scotland .
Quality is everything – once in our kitchen, we age, rub, marinate, grill, and smoke our meats to intensify flavour, lock in moisture, and create that deep richness.

CRAFT BEERS
As a freehouse, we take pride in offering an adventurous, ever-evolving selection of drinks. We’ve been stocking artisan and craft beers since 2014, with most brewed just 20 miles away in London or right here in Kent – local produce at its finest.
On tap, you’ll find an all-English craft beer line-up featuring Hawkstone, Siren, Pressure Drop, and Westerham – our top picks and customer favourites at The Bull.
For those looking for a great alcohol-free option, we currently offer a carefully curated selection of seven non-alcoholic beers, so everyone can raise a glass to quality.

The AA Notable Wine List Award
“Since we took over The Bull in 2007, I have been working hard to build our wine list. This means going to wine tastings, tastings samples I am sent, talking to suppliers, reading about wine, discussing wine with my clients and analysing my favourite restaurants’ wine lists.
Also I have been pushing my boundaries trying completely different wines such as orange wines, volcanic wines and natural wines from either small family run artisan to long-term established large producers.
It is great to receive The AA Notable Wine Award. Considering we are a small family run inn in the country side, being one of the only 5 awarded wine lists in the whole Kent is such an achievement for me!”
